Two Common Speaking Flaws to Stop
I happened to see an interview recently on the ABC TV news with the woman CEO of an Australian organisation, well known in their field. I noticed two common flaws detracting from an otherwise good verbal delivery.
Many, even professionals, have these presentation faults:
1. Verbal 'fillers' - frequent use of "Ah" and "Um".
2. 'Uptick' - upward inflection at the end of a phrase.
Eliminate these audience distractions and you will sound more authoritative and persuasive.
Best wishes, Brian Taylor.
